Pester is PowerShell's testing framework — check you know what it is for.
Overview
QUIZ
Core PowerShell · Question 12 of 12
Explanation
A testing framework for PowerShell code and automation.
Apply the reasoning
Pester organizes executable expectations for PowerShell code. Tests can exercise functions, compare actual values with expected values and isolate dependencies through mocks. A useful test protects a behavior that would matter if an implementation changed.
Why the other choices fail
A package manager installs packages; that is not Pester’s role. Remoting transports commands to another endpoint and is a separate capability. HTML formatting controls presentation. Tests that only repeat implementation details can pass while the real task remains wrong: include a successful case, an expected failure and boundary data that can expose the defect.
